Cuba’s Global Revolution: International Perspectives on the Cold War

Addressing the SHAFR 2012 conference theme of “Revolutionary Aftermaths,” this panel examines the impact on ideology, diplomacy, and cultural affairs of the Cuban revolution of 1959.  It will explore both U.S. and Cuban relations within the context of the Cold War, and those relations in a global context.  The papers offer an international perspective from three non-American scholars. This panel is sponsored by the Membership Committee as part of SHAFR’s ongoing effort to internationalize the organization.
